Sunday, a rare vetti afternoon, I was watching the inthiya thollaikatchiyil 13456avathu muraiyaga movie. My little one was watching parts of it with me. She loves the ads. She has always loved them - I remember a 4 month old stop nursing to turn towards the metti oli title song.
So she is watching the dinakaran no.1 no.1 ad. It ends with a question to her (i.e, the viewers), ...thamizhil dinakaran no.1, appo neenga? She promptly says no. 4. It took me a second to realize why. She meant her age.

LOL!! My daugther used to do that too! There is this 'Old King Cole' song in one of her Barney videos and whenever they say 'fiddlers three', she will shout, 'no! 4!'! She has suddenly realised the 1/2 age now that she keeps stressing that she is a big girl now that she is 4 and 1/2!!

The old people overtly prove that the youngsters are stupid, while the kids make them feel tupid by their cute, spontaneous questions and anwers.
Regarding this 1/2 year business, almost EVERY Child says that and I insist on teasing them. Until 18 none of them can wait to get older fast, after which girls stop growing any older....;)
