recycling gifts

I came across this article today, about re-gifting.

Sometimes we end up getting duplicate gifts or end up with gifts that are not suited to us at all. I don't see anything wrong in recycling them. The survey says about 78% of pollers have done it.

And then there are the gag gifts which do the rounds, because their usefulness ends right there.

Now, what are the chances you get the same gift that you gave away? Would the same concept as 7 degrees of separation work here?

me too would support re-gifting. Instead of sitting uselessly in one's house, it could be of use/delight someone else.

My mind is coming up with loads of thoughts regarding gifts/gifting. Thanks for reminding. I will blog about it soon!

Never done that b4.. but came very close to doing it a couple of months back.. Somehow I think I would resist. What if, by some tiny probability, the two parties (those who gifted to me and got gifted by me) meet and the gift secret is revealed? Dont want to lose any of my friends for such a matter.. konjam senti.. kandukkadheenga..

I reckon we tamils invented this recycling/regifting idea with the blouse piece stuff :)

me too - esp when it comes to kids' birthday parties. So many of them are good candidates for recycling.

raju, you just need to figure out the best way to do it, as uppili suggests ;-)

WA - that sounds like the truth.

upps - bayangara brain thaan po.

"7 degrees of separation"
Did we add a whole degree of separation recently?! :)

We do re-gift but we are very careful not to give it back to the same person :)
